What is primary care?

Primary care is the foundation of proper health management. As your primary care provider (PCP), Katie works with you to ensure you feel your best.

The providers at Revolution Health understand that your time is valuable. That’s why they never over-schedule or double-book patients. Your appointment always comes with an extended time slot to make sure you have quality time to discuss your health concerns with Katie and the Revolution Health team.

What does primary care include?

Common primary care services that Revolution Health offers are:

Annual physicals

An annual physical is a head-to-toe exam that your PCP performs once a year. During a physical, Katie looks inside your ears, nose, and throat, listens to your heart and lungs, palpates your abdomen, and tests your reflexes. She also reviews your medical history and asks detailed questions regarding your health, diet, and lifestyle habits.

Specialist referrals

If you need to see a specialist, such as a gastroenterologist, OB/GYN, or rheumatologist, Katie can give you a referral.

Sick care

Whether you have an ear infection, sore throat, or wound that requires stitches, Revolution Health can provide the prompt care you need.

Injections

Revolution Health offers multiple types of injections, including B12 shots. Whether you want to boost your energy levels or accelerate weight loss, the practice has an injection that meets your needs.

UTI testing and treatment

A urinary tract infection (UTI) can affect any part of the urinary system, including the bladder, kidneys, or urethra. Katie and the team offer comprehensive UTI testing and treatment to restore your health and relieve your discomfort.

Chronic disease management

Chronic diseases, like diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure), require long-term care. Revolution Health provides regular check-ins, monitoring, and testing to prevent complications and slow the progression of chronic diseases.

New medications and refills

Katie can prescribe new medications and order refills at your routine visits. Revolution Health also offers telehealth services.

In-office blood draws

If you need a blood test, you don’t have to travel to an outside facility. The providers can draw your blood in the office and send your sample to Quest® or LabCorp®.

How does a telehealth visit work in primary care?

Telehealth enables you to connect with your primary care team virtually, typically via videoconferencing. Telehealth visits are ideal if you have a chronic disease that demands regular care, such as medication refills or specialist referrals. Scheduling a telehealth visit can save you time and money on travel if you’re not able to come to the office.
